 Basic situation:

 ¡ø revision situation

    First edition was issued on 1988-02-05, implemented on 1988-10-01;Second edition 1997-04-04 was issued, implemented on 1997-10-01.

  ¡ø Standard nature

         This standard is stipulated for protecting security of persons and property. According to "National Standardization Law", it belongs to " Compulsory standard "which shall be earnestly implemented and enforced in the product development, constitution and revision of product standard system, fire control law and product quality supervision and inspection.

    ¡øAccepted standards

        Chinese GB8624 graduation standard in the technical content uses non- equivalent German standards ", DIN4102-81 first part ".

     ¡ø Applicable scope

This standard is suitable for structural material and decorative material for various industrial and civil architectures. The material with specific uses refers to pavement, curtain material, plastic material of electric wire cable tube and plastics foam material for heat insulation and preservation. It is stressed that if using the above specific material as wall surface or suspended ceiling, they still had to carry on inspection and graduation according to the non- specific use material.

    ¡ø to typical mode production of composite building material, no matter how thickness, no matter by which kind of production craft, they should carry on combustion characteristic test and carry on an overall evaluation.

    ¡ø to interior finish coating and other facings (like wallpaper) attached to the base material surface in spray coating or glued or other ways, its thickness ¡Ü 0.6mm or mass-area ratio ¡Ü 300g/m2, not considering the influence of surface layer to combustion characteristic and graduation of its base material. If the thickness of its surface layer is over 0.6mm, or the influence of surface layer to combustion characteristic and graduation of its base material is obvious, the surface layer together with the base material should be made a specimen for test and to carry on an overall evaluation.

¡ø to materials carried on a flame proofing to the surface t, its combustibility graduation should have a test and an overall evaluation with processed material. To fire retardant coating as well as its performance of flame retardant, a test and an overall evaluation may be done according related standards. This kind of a test and an overall evaluation is not foundation and basis for this graduation standard, but it may be taken for a reference to an overall evaluation to its combustion characteristic graduation.
